Milna Sightseeing

Milna is a charming fishing town located on the southwest side of island Brač. Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with your surroundings once you arrive.

Water Activities

Crystal clear water, ideal for swimming, characterizes the local beaches. Beaches in Milna are stone or pebble beaches. The less crowded unspoiled beaches are located on the south shore of island Brač, between Milna and Bol. To visit these beautiful southern beaches, including Turkish Lagoon, Greek Lagoon, and Smrka you will need to rent a bicycle, 4x4 car or boat (for Farska beach). Please ask your host for details. Milna is also a famous yachting/sailing destination due to a very deep and naturally protected harbour. In marina Milna you can rent a boat/yacht for your Adriatic adventure!

Diving and Snorkeling

Opportunities for diving and snorkeling are endless in the waters surrounding Milna. You are welcomed to explore the real sea world, catch some fish for lunch or discover in-water caves.

Bicycling

Renting a bicycle or a scooter (motorbike) can be a good way to go off the beaten track and discover the hidden spots on the island. A good physical condition is a must in the hot summer months. Your host and/or travel agency in Milna are providing this service.

Extreme Sports

Extreme sports are growing in popularity on island Brač. Sutivan, a town approximately 20 km north-east of Milna, is a leader in extreme sports on Brač Every summer, different activities including free climbing, windsurfing, biking, and paragliding are been organized during the international extreme sports contest in Sutivan Vanka_Regule. Along with the car rental, a public bus transportation Autotrans can be the cheap and safe alternative for your visit to Sutivan.

Spending hot summer days and nights in cafes is the favorite past-time activity for the locals. Try to immerse in the local customs by sipping your favorite drink and gossiping about the latest fashion trends on main street "Riva".

 

Dancing

Twenty years ago live music and dancing every night was common in Milna. Times have changed and these customs are disappearing. However, you might be lucky and find yourself in Milna during one of the town religious festivities like "Gospa od Karmena" or "Vela Gospa". During these holidays you will be able to celebrate with locals of all ages in all night parties.
Younger generations can spend their nights dancing in disco clubs in other Brač's towns, including famous Faces in Bol.
